This guy just reminded me that the Dusshehera - Diwlali season is back. Missed those Ram leela's, decorated houses, Twinkling lights, Fireworks and Sweets for last couple of years.

Will be home this time and will try to grab as much as possible this vacations.

sama tha Microsoft IDC ki 8th Anniversary Party ka, and a lot of junta from IIIT poured in :D (we all know the motivation) and it made the evening fundu. Had a great time watching the fella employees dancing and acting. Veer Das was good and really humourous unlike others ;) Our dance came out good for which we practiced just over a week. Sync was a problem which i think is difficult to acheive with such a big crowd. Yeah i wud call 12 ppl a crowd on that small stage.

Euphoria stole the show with their never ending energy. pink floyd and the other bollywood numbers were the free gifts :D. One thing about Euphoria which i guess everybody might have noticed during the show was their energy. Man i didnt expected them to sing soooo... many songs at a stretch and they never ever looked tired.

I am sure ppl had a good time dancing to the tunes of Euphoria and the taklu DJ. IIIT junta was surely having a blast, it was kinda small reunion for the hyd based folks.

9:40 ki local (Nau Chaalees ki local)

Yes, since quite smtime my life has been like a 9:40 superfast local from Churchgate to Dadar. You can imagine the situation from the fact that despite of so much of events worth-blogging there are a very few blog posts from me in recent times.

a quick recap

- completed 24yrs of fun/frolic/war/drama/emotion/music/technicolor/lights/camera and action

- completed 2 yrs of blogging on 28th of May (first post can be seen here where most of them are backed up)

- completed an yr of my professional services to the computer software world on 25th of last month.

- went to a trip to some very beautiful and exotic locations near Pune (Panchgani & Mahabaleshwar) which are so beautiful and the clouds and rains and the mist and the wind made them such, that some of ma friends rushed to the place the immediate week. And the irnoy is even after buying a Pro account on Flickr and posting all the Hi-res pics, i didnt had time to mention a line about the places. Anyways better late than never one can have the pics here.

- HOT interns frm Delhi have completed their term and left the campus :( and left many of the lukhi and velli junta to start looking back to their plates at dinner time and will give a chance to all the enthu junta who had a sudden boost in their bisceps to have some rest :p

- IIITH seem to be making constant progress on the idealogy of all-research-N-no-life backed up mostly by the bald-dude-with-vision who seem to be too.. strong with the "language" to convince. I dont have any doubts, that in near future there will be more junta like me who will advice their friends and cousins to join IIT's & NIT's over IIITH, specially if they want to live a college life and if they understand the meaning of fun and enjoyment.

And not to mention headstart in terms of bank balance of over 3-4 lacs if they put the extra 50K/yr they save from the fee and invest it in any decent mutal fund. Worth mentioning that Fee limit touched to the height of 80K/yr and promised to keep increasing to the maximun of the annual fee of ISB which seem to be the uber goal of IIITH administration. On the promise of not disclosing the identity, an insider was generous enuf to tell us that "As agreed by both parties at the Gachibowli Pact, IIITH agreed to never match the superamacy of ISB in terms of Fee and never offer more than 0.1% of the facilities provided by the Apex Management Institute."

wierd title as you might have noticed but then i didnt wanted to be among the .26 million blogposts who start with Long time no see

Life's taking turns personally professionally, moved to a big version 2 project. Big in terms of deliverables, team size and schedule. Assigned a version 1 module. :)

What that means? In a nutshell it is coding from scratch, lot of planning and less of coding and that brings lots of reading and less of free time :(

Planning brings lotsa meetings and lot of funny stuff like the one below...

Perfect quote by my manager to prove funda of manmonths in a corporate world - "Nine women cant produce a baby in one month" ;) Now, working with experts means less of conference calls :) but more of day meetings which implies going to bed early and getting up early which in turn implies less of reading/blogging, less TV and less BC :(

crossed 10K mark on odometer. (been just 5.5 months)

Travelled a lot .. went to delhi and went home twice last month. Met a member of JD(U) and an ex-minister from "Bihar" in train, who claims that Reservation in education and jobs is just helplessness.

TV is crap these days with bulls**t AD's like Pepsi TV, Shahrukh's hamming Airtel, ASH in Coke, Mallika in 7up, Akshay's thunder, Sharukh again in some talcom powder AD. Cold drink AD's were always never on standar except Aami'rs coke campaign but wonder why Airtel switched to such crappy logic of their ADs after creating magic with A.R.Rehmans muscial themes. I guess its time for publicists and campaign directors to move on from Big B and Sharukh Khan to much more meaningfull and attractive ADs like SBI, Hutch, Nokia, HappyDent.

Yes, i know its a wierd thing to do. Normally people, and even I write posts for others to read but sometime, once in a bluemoon you write something which your relatives/selected-friends/parents/co-workers should NEVER EVER read, otherwise its a big problem for you to handle. Got my point?

Now the question is How can you hide your blog from such kind of people. After all my research i came up with these solutions, but nothing is perfect which i can implement.

Problem: To reject few people from reading my blog. It is not to select few to read.

#1 dont publish your blog on internet, have something for your personal computer. simple but then whats the point. Its more like a diary.

#2 make private posts (wordpress and msn spaces provide such things). This will need password for letting people to read OR be in messengers list OR invite them once to read your blog.

#3 maintain 2 different blogs. What crap? maintaining one is tough, forget about multiple blogs. And even in that case people can reach the second one meant for personal posts if they can google.

#4 hide your identity. So that even if they reach to your blog and hey know its you, they cannot prove it :D

Not satisfactory as the motive is lost. purpose is not to let them et al. Rumours can become hard truth after passing few mouths. ;)

#5 disable specific IP Addresses from requesting your blog. But what if the people i want to block dont have static IP's?

#6 Write a disclaimer on the top page. "Not meant for these and these and bla bla people. If your name is this .. this .. or this .. please close this window. Are you sure you are none of these? click here to enter if you are sure" ;)

What crap? Who follow all that? Dont we all know how kids visit those rated sites?

finally i am not left with any option other than to keep it as a combination of #2, #3 and #4, but thats temporarily. i cant go with that blog model.

when you are busy...

people will call you more often.

you will get more BUZZ's in a day on yahoo than you ever had in a month.

everybody gets a dose of creativity and all of a sudden you will see loads of good posts on your blogroll's.

everybody else in your house will sleep like a kumbhkaran.

your gatekeeper will take more time to open the gate than ever.

will start locking the main gate at night, given the case that he never bothered to get up earlier.

you see more traffics jams and you cannot stop cribbing and will start cursing the road widening work.

every weekend you see a good movie in theaters.

all your team members will need your help and it will inevitable to escape that.

you start appreciating the roadside chai than your office's Taj Mahal tea bag ones.

you get to know that Xbox is working and you see ppl playing CS.

you start appreciating the sleekness of snooker and there's a deep urge to play but you can't as manager is nearby and you havent finished your feature yet.

and you dont have time but you still manage to play TT and you manager catches you and just replies back with a smile :)

you get tons of ideas to blog about.

people who generally read but not comment will start commenting in bulk, you too want to wash your hands in the "behti Ganga" but no time to post :(

celebrated new digicam day

yeah! sounds stupid but i celebrated a new digicam day. a day when i just clicked snaps with my new digicam (canon ixus 50).

who says IT job is monotonous .. you just have to plan things for ya ...

my day all in all ...

starts with friday night (late night .. okay .. sat early morning ...)

had a night out .. was having a conversation with redmond team. after the confy .. started fiddling with the cam.
started for IIIT at 6 in the morning.
shot nice pics of sunrise and ppl doing day to day stuff, for them it was just another day.
reached IIIT picked her up and started for Durgam chervu.
man the weahter was awesome, i guess i wont hesitate to call it the most romantic day of the month.
saw flooded drgam cheruvu .. dont know how the nearby residents will be managing. i could see water in the near by buildings. boat house was full, road to the park was fully merged. one can see light poles in the lake which were a part of land.
then back to IIIT saw infosy'ans playing basket ball and here they were .. our little indian cricket team, all dressed in blue, but they were skating.. they seemed to have lost interest in cricket after the chappell gangu drama.. i guess they were having the same kinda roller skates which our japani prof used to have. who knows he gifted them to kamal's and pjn's children.
most of the time there at coffee shop i was trying to get snaps with zoom without blurring. toyed with all the modes available and Bam .. i got the correct setting. The sense of acheivement one can feel this way cant be felt by just going thru the manual.
went back home slept for 5-6 hours and then again back to office. surfed a bit .. chatted with folks .. saw some channel 9 videos.
jus when i was about to leave for IIIT saw sun going down. shot some more pics in diff. diff modes and zoom.
while going to IIIT saw another accident. a kinetic honda collided head on with a truck. the front side of the honda was all bent and i could see blood nearby. statrted clicking some pics, as soon as the person who owned the truck saw me clicking snaps. started asking me who am i and what i am doing. do i belonged to some newspaper. And to my surprise when he asked me for the first time .. dont know why .. i said i am a freelancer .. i work for blogging companies ... as to my expectation he didnt had any clue .. by this time i was surrounded by couple of folks and just when it seemd to me that i am gonna loose the snaps, the guy got convinced after seeing my M$ i card that i am not from any newspaper agency. Hooof ...
went to Gufaa from there for pandeys bday treat.
Gufaa was good, its near himayat nagar fly over. ambience was cool, different from normal places.
headed back after the food and had some BC after reaching IIIT.

All in all a nice camera day :) with around 250 pics on the mem card.
